Frequently Asked Questions

1. What are the Hospital hours?
   
   Pittsburgh Veterinary Cardiology is open Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 5:30 pm.  We are closed on Saturday and Sunday. The emergency department at PVSEC - Blue Pearl is open 24/7 year round and the cardiologists are available to be reached by the doctors at PVSEC - Blue Pearl should they have urgent cardiology questions. 

1. Do I need to have an appointment?
   
   Yes, patients are seen by appointment. Due to the complexity of our schedule within the hospital, we do not accept walk-ins and because many cardiac complications can become life threatening emergencies, we encourage you to take your pet to the closest emergency clinic if you feel that your pet has an urgent problem. 
   
   
2. What forms of payment do you accept?
   
   Cash, Check, Mastercard, Visa, American Express, and Discover. We also accept medical credit cards through Wells Fargo and Care Credit.
   
   
3. Can I make payments?
   
   Payment is required at the time of service. We do not bill.
